2 Face Tools For An Instant Glow Up

Getting professional facials done regularly and visits to the dermatologist are important, however, it can get very expensive. Your daily at home skin car regime is just as important and can help in-between these costly treatments.

These two, super easy to use facial tools can give you the extra boost in-between your occasional facials. You can even use them everyday because they’re non invasive and gentle. Five minutes a day is all you need for smooth and firm skin.

Derma Roller

This is a tad similar to a professional microneedling treatment, however, much less invasive, aggressive and effective on more severe problem areas. These rollers have tiny short needles all around the head. The size of needles can range from 0.2mm – 3mm, the larger the needles the more effective for wrinkles, scars and collagen production.

Microneedling can be used to treat very fine lines, dark spots and help increase the absorption of facial serums; so it’s best to use right before or after your favorite serum.

How To Use a Derma Roller

It is very simple to use, you can even do this while watching TV.
After thoroughly cleansing your face and the roller (soak it in alcohol each use!!) apply your toner and serum. Once the serum is still wet begin rolling your face. Make sure to use a decent amount of light pressure while rolling your cheeks, forehead, under-eyes and neck.

DO NOT drag the roller along you face and DO NOT roll over active pimples, it will just spread. You should roll the device over each area vertically, horizontally and diagonally. I like this Derma Roller, its 0.5mm.

Vibrating Facial Massager

This tool is even easier than the Derma Roller and actually quite soothing to use. The facial massager vibrates while you glide it along your face to de-puff, improve circulation, contour and lift.

It is best to use this device with a serum or facial oil to help glide it across your face to avoid tugging at your skin. You can use this for as long as you like each time, concentrating on your cheekbones, under-eyes and laugh lines.

TIP: Keep this in the fridge to provide a cooling effect. You can get the one I use from Amazon, all you need are batteries.

Roll on my friends! xo.
